Welcome to Wilton, WI!

Wilton is a village in Western Wisconsin’s Driftless Area. Settled along the banks of the Kickapoo River, Wilton grew with the turn of the 20th century along the tracks of the Chicago and North Western Railway. This agricultural community was enhanced by the thriving poultry business, Tillman Produce. The rail lines, abandoned in the 1960’s were, in short order, transformed into the first rails-to-trails bike path in the United States. Forward thinking Wiltonians developed a village park, campground and pool for residents and trail riders. Today Wilton is still considered an agricultural community but residents make their living in diverse ways with trucking, home-based businesses and employment opportunities in surrounding communities providing income for residents.
