MATERIAL INVENTORY FOR VILLAGE OF WILTON WATER UTILITY LEAD AND COPPER RULE REVISION (LCRR) 141.84

The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) requires EPA to establish and enforce standards for public drinking water systems (PWS). In Wisconsin, the Department of Natural Resources is the SDWA primacy agency and has state regulations in place and is implementing procedures for the enforcement of these regulations. The EPA published final regulatory revisions to the National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR) for lead and copper under the authority of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). These Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) are intended to provide greater protection of public health by reducing exposure to lead and copper in drinking water. Wilton Water Utility began undertaking the initiative to inventory all service line materials connected to the public water distribution system, regardless of ownership status. This includes material not only on the Village owned portion of the service line but also on the customer’s side of the service line. Building type, all building plumbing materials and approximate install date/s and if any treatment is present is also needed to complete this survey. Customers are asked to complete an online survey regarding their water service line. Water Utility Staff are also available to assist you in inspecting your water service line and internal plumbing if needed to complete this survey.

The Wilton Water Utility is asking Village of Wilton customers to complete an online survey regarding their water service line. The Water Utility Staff are also available to assist you by inspecting our water service line and internal plumbing, if needed, to complete this survey.
